STORY

The seeds for Settled Space were planted in my head while working at a high-end home design and build firm in Venice, California, where we bridged a difficult gap to produce homes that were both incredibly expensive and also personal, tangible, and “homey”. For the clients who purchased our projects, these were often their second home, vacation home, or beach home. We photographed the homes completely staged and feeling very lived in, and often they were purchased sight-unseen, with all of the art on the walls and linens on the beds used for staging included in the purchase.

Our clients expected their real estate agent to be present at the home for the gas company, cable company, window shade designer, a/v technician and others to come by. I’ve even seen a client send boxes piled to the ceiling of an agent’s office with items from her new home registry and ask for them to be unpacked, washed, and put away ready for her family to use when they arrived at their beach house for the first time.

Thus, the initial concept and client market for Settled Space was born, but...

What about everyone else that wants help moving in? What about the couple that moves into a new home and can’t escape their 60-hour workweeks to wait at home for the utility companies to come? What about the wife/mommy/or bachelor with design know-how and savvy that chooses not to hire an interior designer, but wants to make sure all of his/her i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed?

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy home. I can’t wait to get your space settled so you are free to go enjoy it!
